Happy Mother’s Day 🤰and happy day of all maternities.
To every woman who creates life, not only the life that is born, but the life that is held, tended to, and nourished with love every single day. Thank you. Because of you, we are all here.
Thank you to my mom, my grandmothers, every woman in my lineage 🙋🏽‍♀️ that invisible chain of women who loved, who survived, who built so that I could exist. And thank you to yours. Because we arrive in this world carrying everything they were.
Thank you to the women who, for whatever reason, have not been mothers 🫶 but who still mother. Who build projects with love, who create community, who hold others with their presence. Because mothering is not only giving birth. It is creating the conditions for life to bloom.
Thank you to the women who help raise children that aren’t “theirs.” The aunts, the friends, the neighbors, the teachers. Because motherhood was never a solitary act 🩷 it has always been collective.
And infinite gratitude to Mother Earth, to Pachamama. To her, who holds us without asking anything in return. May today also remind us that inhabiting this earth with love is not optional 🌎 it is urgent.

Sensuality. The depths of the psyche.
But also -the most childlike part of me.
I remember playing with my school friends,
pretending we were all cats🐈😅

5. Feminine energy. 🌸
The woman connected to her power. Rooted. Authentic.
This is the energy I pour into every figure I draw.

Die letzten Monate habe ich in der Natur mit meiner Familie verbracht, mit der Intention, wirklich runterzukommen und mich wiederzufinden.

Es war eine Zeit, in der ich gespürt habe, wie wichtig es ist, auf sich selbst zu schauen. Körper und Geist brauchen Ruhe, besonders wenn man so viel gibt, von innen heraus.

Meine Quelle ist die Natur, der Ort, an dem ich geboren wurde, die Berge, die Erde. Ich habe diese Verbindung noch nie so intensiv gespürt.

Wir dürfen nicht vergessen: unsere mentale und körperliche Gesundheit geht über alles. Wir sind unsere Priorität💪🏽

When I was little, the only type of beauty I saw was mostly white women with tiny noses, perfect skin, and straight hair. My curly hair and Afro textures weren’t seen as cool or welcome in places they should have been, like school 🫠 they were often labeled as ‘chaotic.’ I remember being told I had to have my hair done for school. That’s why creating art for everyone is so important to me, especially for the girls coming after us, and for the girls we once were, who still carry the wounds of racism and capitalism in their hearts.

This artwork is my loving (and a bit cheeky) call to remember that we’re all connected 💕 no matter where we come from or what we believe in. When we hurt someone, we’re also hurting ourselves.

I was by the Danube at sunset when I saw her silhouette - so beautiful against the landscape that I had to paint it 🌅
Then I thought… why not share this moment with them? They were my inspiration after all 💕

As if it wasn’t enough to do graphic design, create my own prints, pack them, import jackets, make scarves, do accounting, create content… now I decided to try linocut, woodcut, and screen printing too! 😅

Honestly, these things make my heart so happy. Art, for me, is about following your heart and giving your mind new impulses🫠 otherwise, life gets too comfortable and a bit boring.

Last week I learned how to do screen printing. To be honest, I was complaining about how expensive it seemed to get tote bags and t-shirts printed. So I decided to try it myself (with the amazing help of @cinico_canino and @lichtraum_by_sonia_siblik 💕).

Of course, I know that big companies have machines that make the process faster. But even doing it in a very basic way made me realize: there are so many hidden, heavy steps you’d never imagine 🫠 washing, scrubbing, waiting, repeating again and again.

And it hit me: the fashion industry often underpays and objectifies the people behind production. So when something looks “too expensive,” maybe it’s actually just fairly priced for the amount of work and sweat it takes.

Huge thanks again to @cinico_canino for giving me so much of his time, for all the patience, and for helping me out whenever I was too tired😅And to dear @lichtraum_by_sonia_siblik for creating a safe place where artists can create, grow… and simply be.

Being a Colombian artist living in Vienna has taught me to see my country through new eyes.
From a distance, I started to value the everyday, the essential, the colorful, the loud, the deeply human.
Colombia is not just where I was born - it’s the root of everything I am and everything I create.

My art, my colors, my energy, my shapes: they all carry the rhythm of a creative, powerful, and vibrant land.
Today I celebrate Colombia’s Independence Day by carrying my country with me - in every brushstroke, in every work, in every step.
