Waïá means mother in Muisca. A fine art print inspired by mother earth, feminine life force, the páramo ecosystem, and the spectacled bear - guardian of the Andes. An embrace of life and a tribute to the energy that sustains us.
Full Description
Waïá means mother in Muisca - and this fine art print is exactly that: a tribute to mother earth, to women, and to the sacred force of beings that can give life. This work honors the energy that sustains us, nourishes us, and holds us with tenderness and power.
It is inspired by the páramo, a rare and vital ecosystem found only in the mountains of Colombia and Venezuela. Home to frailejones, mist, water, and life in its most essential form, the páramo is one of the planet's most important natural sanctuaries. Within it lives the spectacled bear - the guardian of the páramo, a symbol of protection, balance, and wild intelligence.
This artwork is an embrace of life. A thank you to the energy that feeds us, holds us, and reminds us that we belong to something larger than ourselves. It speaks of care, reverence, reciprocity, and the responsibility to protect the home we inhabit.
